Only Legends can lead a crew into this deadly five-chapter gauntlet set around Thieves’ Haven.

Athena’s Run of Thieves’ Haven is a permanent Mercenary Voyage for Pirate Legends in Sea of Thieves. The five chapter voyage is centered on Thieves' Haven, with three X Marks the Spot Maps, and two Riddle Maps on either Snake Island, Devil's Ridge or Crook's Hollow.

The voyage allows players to acquire Athena's Fortune Treasure and sell them to the Mysterious Stranger in every Outpost Tavern for Athena's Fortune Reputation and Gold. These Voyages also help players unlock Ghost Set Ship Cosmetics and the Legendary Treasure Seeker Costume.

Rewards

Athena's Run loot

Athena’s Fortune Treasure

The Voyage will reward players with various Athena's Fortune Treasures, Mermaid Gems, Devil's Roar Trinkets, and a Firebomb Crate.

Any X on the X Marks the Spot Maps has a chance to unearth one of the following Treasure Items:

Any Collector's Chests unearthed from the Riddle Maps have a chance to contain the following Treasure Items:

Players can face off a Green and Red Shadows of Fate and one Skeleton with a Keg of Ancient Black Powder that may drop a Skull of Ancient Fortune or Villainous Skull of Ancient Fortune (and the Keg from the latter); There is also a chance that they may not drop anything.

The Voyage

Chapter One

One X Marks the Spot Map with 3 X's at Thieves' Haven in The Ancient Isles. The X's have a chance to uncover any of the items listed in the previous subsection. Generally, this Map rewards players with 2 Mermaid Gems and one random Athena's Fortune Treasure. Note that any of the dug up X's have a chance to spawn 1-4 Gunpowder Skeletons.

Chapter Two

One Riddle Map with 3 Riddles on either Devil's Ridge, Crook's Hollow or Snake Island. When solved, the Riddle Map uncovers a Collector's Chest with Gold and 3 random Treasures listed in the previous section. When dug, the players will always face off a handful of Skeletons with a guaranteed Green Shadow of Fate Skeleton. This Skeleton can only be made vulnerable if players have a Green Flame of Fate in their Lantern (acquired from the Ferry of the Damned after dying to any Skeleton). This Skeleton has a chance to drop either a Skull of Ancient Fortune or Villainous Skull of Ancient Fortune. If the whole Crew dies during this part, the Skeletons will despawn.

Chapter Three

One X Marks the Spot Map with 6 X's back on Thieves' Haven. The Treasure pool is the same as in the first Chapter, with a chance to unearth more Athena's Fortune Treasure. One of these X's is guaranteed to unearth a Firebomb Crate. Again, some of these Treasures spawn a handful of Gunpowder Skeletons.

Chapter Four

One Riddle Map with 3 Riddles on either Devil's Ridge, Crook's Hollow or Snake Island. When solved, the Riddle Map uncovers a Collector's Chest with Gold and 3 random Treasures listed in the previous section. When dug, the players will always face off a handful of Skeletons, this time with a guaranteed Red Shadow of Fate Skeleton. This Skeleton can only be made vulnerable if players have a Red Flame of Fate in their Lantern (acquired from the Ferry of the Damned after dying to any source of Fire). This Skeleton has a chance to drop either a Skull of Ancient Fortune or Villainous Skull of Ancient Fortune. If the whole Crew dies during this part, the Skeletons will despawn.

Final Chapter

As before, one X Marks the Spot Map, this time with 9 X's on Thieves' Haven. The Treasure pool remains the same as the previous X Chapters. This time, one of the X's will spawn a Gunpowder Skeleton with a Keg of Ancient Black Powder in hand. This Skeleton will also have a chance to drop a Skull of Ancient Fortune or Villainous Skull of Ancient Fortune when killed. When using the Pistol or Eye of Reach, players can shoot the legs of the Skeleton to make it drop the Keg of Ancient Black Powder. Watch out, this Keg is equivalent to a Stronghold Gunpowder Barrel when blown up.

When all the X's have been dug up, the Voyage will be finished.

Tips and tricks

  • Completing this voyage fully as an Emissary for Athena's Fortune will grant up to Emissary Grade 4, making this voyage the fastest and best way to raise your emissary grade for Athena's Fortune.
  • To speed up progress, at least one crewmember can wait on Thieves Haven' while the others complete Chapter 2 and 4. This strategy is most effective with a full Galleon, but also works with smaller ships.
  • The west side of Thieves' Haven and the mast in the middle of the island provide the quickest access to the top part of the island. Using cannons to reach the top is also a good plan.
