Bone Callers are a Throwable Supply Item in Sea of Thieves. They can be either thrown or launched out of Cannons to spawn Skeleton allies that fight both enemy players and NPCs.

Bone Callers are fairly uncommon.

- Fortresses
- Siren Treasuries
- Siren Shrines
- Shipwrecks (more common)
- Outposts
- Islands
Currently Skeleton Ships and Player Ships do not stock Bone Callers.
Usage[]
Bone Callers can be thrown in a short arc by a player, using the Primary Use key. If the key is held, the pirate will perform a short windup animation, although it does not appear to affect the bomb's trajectory. They can also be loaded into cannons like Cannonballs and fired at greater distances. A Bone Caller summons a group of 4-5 Skeleton, around the point of impact, aligned with the thrower, their Crew and anyone in an Alliance. Friendly Skeletons are named in green to help differnate them from other Skeletons while summoned Enemy Skeletons are in Red. They can spawn anywhere where's no water, even Player Ships. Bone Caller Skeletons cannot be stacked and any remaining skeletons are destroyed when a new Bone Caller is thrown; They also last for 2 minutes before dying.
They spawn with most of the weapons available to them, except Eye of Reach and Gunpowder Barrels and attack all enemies they see.
Storage[]
- Up to 5 Throwables can be held in a player's inventory at one time.
- A single Bone Caller can be loaded into any Cannon, signified by a orange ghostly plume at the Cannons muzzle.
- Up to 99 Bone Caller can be stored in one storage space of a Barrel at a time. A single Ship's Cannonball Barrel can carry up to 3 pages worth (i.e. 4752) of Bone Callers.
- Up to 20 Bone Callers can be stored in one storage space of the Rowboat Chest. A single Rowboat's Chest can carry a maximum of 2 pages worth (i.e. 640) of Bone Callers.
- Up to 99 Bone Callers can be stored in one storage space of a Storage Crate. A single Storage Crate can carry up to 1584 Bone Callers.
Notes[]
- Bone Callers cannot be placed inside a Cannonball Crate
- Existing Skeletons will be destroyed each time a new group is summoned.
- Bone Caller Skeletons last for 2 minutes before dying.
