Clothing and Vanity items are aesthetic customization options for players' pirates. Most Clothing and Vanity items are purchased at the General Clothing Shop, while a few may be purchased from other sources or may be exclusive bonuses available only to select players.
Clothing can be customized via the Clothing Chest, and Vanity items via the Vanity Chest.
Clothing comes in sets. The Sailor's Set is owned by all players by default. The Black Dog set is only available to players who pre-ordered the game, and the Ferryman Set is only available to those who ordered the Sea of Thieves Xbox Controller.
Vanity items are accessories and hair styles.
