Where to Cook
A Stove can be found on the Mid Deck of a Galleon, or on the Bottom Deck of a Sloop and Brigantine, next to Food Barrels, for easy access to storage and supplies.
Stoves can be used immediately for any cooking. When Food is left to burn for upwards of 5 minutes, the Stoves will catch Fire, which will start spreading on the Ship. When the Fire is doused with Water, but the Food is left burning, the Fire will shortly start spreading once again.
Unlike Stoves, Campfires need to be built and lit before they can be used. To light a Campfire, Players will need to place Wooden Planks as tinder, and then be lit with a Lantern, a source of Fire, or with sparks from Weapons. The Wood on Campfires slowly burns out and needs to be replaced after a while. Campfires automatically go out inside Storms.
Be aware that lit Campfire will emit a pillar of black smoke reaching high in the air, which can be seen from afar. Campfires can be doused with water from Buckets.
Any Players walking over a lit Campfire will catch Fire.
