Coral Treasure is an undersea, coral encrusted variant of standard Treasure items which can be discovered throughout Siren Shrines or within the vaults of Siren Treasuries.
Mechanics[]
A Player can only carry one Coral Treasure item at a time and cannot use any other items while carrying them. Coral Treasure items will float to the top when dropped in water, however they will start sinking to the bottom after some time has passed and disappear. Coral Treasure dropped on land or on shorelines will stay in-game for a long time. Every Coral Treasure item can be caught with a Ship's Harpoon. Up to three of any small Coral Treasure item can also be placed in any Container Chests. When closed, Container Chests cover the white glint of Treasure. They can also be used to move multiple items at once.
Like any Treasure, the main use of Coral Treasure is to sell for Gold and Reputation.
Emissary Mechanics[]
Any Player Crews sailing as a Emissary can receive Emissary Grade Reputation for picking up and putting Coral Treasure on their Ship for the first time, given that the item in question is for the same Trading Company as the Emissary Flag they are flying. This benefit is also applicable for Reaper's Bones Emissaries who gain Emissary Reputation for any Treasure items collected. Selling Coral Treasure to a companies as an Emissary does not give Emissary Grade Reputation, however, Players do receive Emissary Value, which is counted for the respective Company Emissary Ledger leaderboards. The higher the Crew's Emissary Grade, the more Gold, Reputation and Emissary Value they receive for selling Treasure.
Where to find[]
Coral Treasure can be found from the following sources:
- Chance to find throughout Siren Shrines
- Chance to find within the vault of a Siren Treasury after defeating the Treasury Vaultmaster. Small treasure items have a chance to be found inside of a Coral Treasure Chest.
To save pirates from needing to take their new-found treasure all the way back up the the surface, up to 20 loot pieces can be stored in Sunken Mermaid Statues found along the way. Any Coral Treasure Chests filled with three loot items count as a single loot item, saving up space for the other treasure items to be stored in the statues. Any treasure left with the statues can be redeemed back on the surface from a friendly mermaid with a shell, emitting purple smoke. When interacted with, any treasure collected will float up to the surface and the mermaid departs.
