Hi! I'm the (right now) only editor and maybe future admin of the spanish wiki (es.seaofthieves.wikia.com), we're just getting started, and I personally wanted to thank you for all the information and work you've already put in this project! It's easier for me to just translate and add more info to my articles, and get the images from here if you don't mind hehe :P. Soo I just wanted you to know we do exist and maybe we can help each other's wikis, as we are part from the same community. Cheers and I'll try to edit in this wiki aswell :)
Hello. Thanks for editing and I appreciate the kinds words. I am a member of FANDOM staff, same as Héctor whom you spoke to on the ES wiki. I am aware of the community and appreciate your dedication to the ES Sea of Thieves Wiki. Any edits here on the EN version are of course welcome as well. Both wikis are linked together via interlanguage links. While I am no longer actively editing here as of today, I may on occasion still help out as I too enjoy the game. Que tenga un buen día!
Thanks! Sorry about 'moving/deleting the Buckets page. I had a 'Sailors Bucket' in my Equipment Chest and changed it, then it dawned on me that even buckets would have upgrades, so I fixed it. /facepalm. Glad to see you back and editing! I pre-ordered the game and I'm looking forward to seeing what else it has to offer. Still trying to decide if the maps are randomly created with random islands, or if they are preset and complete maps, and we just get one drawn from a pile. I was adding a few places to the Locations page from my last map. Just wish I knew more about how it actually works. Any idea?
Also, as a suggestion, you may want to disable article comments to help encourage users to use Discussions instead. I think it makes the pages look cleaner to not have article comments at the bottom, but that's a personal preference. Totally up to you!
Hey, no worries. I'm very new to this and I'm learning from everything. I slowed to a halt between the Alpha and Beta, mostly because I was choked of new data. Now that the Beta is out, I can add some stuff that was previously under NDA. I've compiled a list of every island and the coordinates in which they sit. From what I can tell, the map is the exact same as it was during the Alpha. I'll be adding the list tonight and trying to obtain pictures of the islands maps much like you are working on. We'll talk more about it once I get the data into info boxes. Thank you for all your suggestions. Talk soon.
Looking at the first location, Ancient Spires Outpost, how should I set them up. Do I need to change the infobox and customize it. I'm not sure what Level means. Let me know what you think and if you know how we should format them.
That is a default Portable Infobox, which means all new wikis have it. I had to redesign the default Items one before it was usable. Feel free to use mine as an example if you aren't sure how to edit or create PI's. I would remove Level completely as it seems irrelevant for this game.
Also, infoboxes should be at the very top of the articles. Preferably vertical in source rather than horizontal. I have found it makes them easier for new users to figure out. If you need any help, please let me know. :)
