Type Passive

Seagulls are passive Creatures in Sea of Thieves. They indicate loot positions on the sea. They usually appear in flocks, so they can be easily spotted.

As usual, the Barrels located beneath a Seagull flock can contain resources like Cannonballs, Wooden Planks, and Bananas.

Types of loot

Barrels floating on the water have a small seagull flock hovering in the sky overhead. A player Ship may have sunk there.

A large flock indicates a Shipwreck underwater, which usually contain Barrels and may sometimes contain Treasure Chests.
