Here at Rare, we know we have an incredibly special and unique Sea of Thieves community. From fan art and fundraisers to lifelong friendships being formed, not a day goes by where we don’t log in and see a sea of inspiring acts and perfect plays (and stunning puns, which we also enjoy). You constantly make our day – which is why this January, we’re making a concerted effort to make yours.

Yes, the start of 2022 sees us holding our first ever Sea of Thieves Community Day as part of Season Five! This momentous occasion is all about rewarding and celebrating you, our brilliant and spirited sailors – and we’d really love for you to join us for the party on Sunday, January 30th. We have quite the list of ways you can get involved, gathered into this delightful article right here for you all to digest.

We Shall Tweet Together

All Tweets made with the hashtag #SeaOfThievesCommunityDay over the duration of the community event will tallied up, and upon reaching certain cumulative totals all Gold and Reputation earned in-game will be increased by an unknown amount, up to a maximum of a 3.5x multiplier. This reward multiplier can be further enhanced by other multipliers such as Emissary Grade and lasts until the end of the event.

Note: It's currently unknown if the award multipliers will also be affected by Gold Rush.

On January 30th there will also be a celebratory sale on the Sea of Thieves merchandise store, where all Sea of Thieves themed merchandise will be discounted by 30% as long as you use the code COMMUNITYDAY at checkout.

As an added bonus, during this time you can obtain a limited Community Day t-shirt.

Rewards

All players jumping into the game during the event will be gifted the exclusive Season Five Community Day Flag and new Power Chord Emote.

Twitch Drops
