The Tankard is an Equipment Item in Sea of Thieves, used to hold and drink Grog.
Usage[]
Every Player Pirate acquires a Tankard during their Maiden Voyage, which they can use at any time during their adventures on The Sea of Thieves. The Tankard can be accessed from the Equipment Radial Menu. The Cosmetic design of the Player's Tankard can be switched at Equipment Chests. These designs can be purchased from Equipment Shops and only change the visual appearance of the Item. Players can check out their own Tankard in 3rd person view with the Polished to Perfection Emote, which is available for purchase from the Pirate Emporium for Ancient Coins.
Every Player joins the game with a full Tankard. Players can use their Tankards to raise Cheers or drink Grog, the beverage of choice for Pirates. Players will need to hold down the Primary Interact Button to keep drinking Grog until the Tankard is empty. Once emptied, a Tankard can be refilled at any Grog Barrel, Tavern or a Chest of a Thousand Grogs.
Players become drunk when they drink too much Grog, which will make their vision blurry, turn most of their movements and interactions involuntary and impede their ability to keep tune with an Instrument. When they drink too much, they will start to Vomit.

All new players are equipped with a basic Sailor Tankard by default. Other versions are available for purchase from the Equipment Shop.

Trivia[]
- If you drink enough Grog, eventually you will get sick. Hold the Bucket once you are sick, and it will fill the bucket with puke. You can then throw this at other people to cause them temporary partial sightedness.
