The Reaper's Hideout is a large collection of reefs in the open seas of The Sea of Thieves. The Island was an Uncharted Island for a long time, until the Bilge Rats set up shop with the Masked Stranger, who charted and named the Island with the Festival of Giving Content Update.
However, after the Ships of Fortune update, the island has been taken over by the Reaper's Bones. Turning it into a fortified camp that serves as both a refuge and a hotspot for piracy.
Description[]
Previous to being named, The Reaper's Hideout was referred to by some players as Killer Whale Island, as during The Hungering Deep events, players were tasked with discovering the remains of The Killer Whale, Merrick's crashed ship, at these islands. The Crow's nest of the Ship contained one of Merrick's Journals, however with the charting of the Island, the Bilge Rats removed the Mast from the Ship to build a shiny beacon on the Reef. Out of respect, Merrick's Journal and portrait were moved onto the Island instead.
All vegetation in the Reaper's Hideout has died with the introduction of the Reaper's Bones, who set up their Company in the fortified tent that the Masked Stranger was preparing for them. All of the Island's features remain, albeit changed into a scenery natural to The Wilds. The coral reefs surrounding the Island have died, Merrick's teepee has been trashed, the glowing flowers around the grave on the Western Island have wilted and most of the land has been submerged into a swampland.
The main feature of the Island is the titular Reaper's Hideout, a large fortified tent, surrounded by four Cannons to each side. The fortifications also house Barrels for Supplies and Ammo Chests for Ammunition. In the tent, players can find The Servant of the Flame who is the sole representative of the Reaper's Bones Trading Company. The Servant accepts any and all Treasure items for Gold/Doubloons and Reaper's Bones Reputation and Emissary Value. In front of the Servant, Crews can find a Reaper's Shrine where they can vote to become Reaper's Bones Emissaries.

Trivia[]
- The Reaper's Hideout is the first island to have a different style of Cannon, instead of the Sailor Cannons used by its counterparts. The cannons share the Skin of the Notorious Reaper Cannons.
